At L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (ENU), a meeting was held with a delegation from Tsinghua University (China) dedicated to the socio-practical project «Green Silk Road». During the event, a presentation was delivered focusing on sustainable development and the importance of cultural exchange between nations.
Nelya Shapekova, the ENU Ombudsman, emphasized the importance of implementing the «Green School - Green College - Green University» model within the university as part of the Sustainable Development Policy aimed at preserving ecology and maintaining harmony with nature.
Special attention during the meeting was given to environmental education. Yuri Gashek, Eco-Ambassador at the Ministry of Ecology, Geology, and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, presented an interactive presentation titled «Give the Earth a Garden», urging everyone to care for our planet, which, like a mother, needs our love and attention. As a symbol of unity and care for the future, participants of the event planted seeds that will be transplanted on the university grounds in May, becoming a symbol of our shared commitment to a green and sustainable future.
