Meeting of members of the Network of Academic Societies Community of Practice Platform - Strengthening Networking of Academic Society Networks

USAID Central Asia’s Regional Water and Vulnerable Environment Activity plans to develop educational modules for master's students in thematic areas such as water diplomacy and water use efficiency. These modules will be offered to relevant government bodies for inclusion in the curricula of Central Asia universities. The modules will also be available on the Central Asia WEFE Nexus Community of Practice platform (https://www.riverbp.net/community_of_practice/profile/about/), which provides a space for knowledge exchange and network building among the academic and scientific communities of the Central Asian countries. Having the modules available on this platform will make it readily available for additional use in educational programs throughout the region.

In this meeting, participants will discuss the content of the planned courses and the next steps for integrating these modules into Central Asian universities. In addition, participants will discuss the technical capabilities and thematic areas of the Community of Practice platform for the dissemination of the developed materials.

The meeting was organized by USAID Central Asia’s Regional Water and Vulnerable Environment Activity in cooperation with the Central Asian Regional Environmental Center (CAREC) within the framework of the SDC Blue Peace project in Central Asia.
