ASTANA, KAZAKHSTAN (October 04, 2022 г.) – On October 3-4 in Astana, USAID Regional Water and Vulnerable Environment Activity held a training workshop on the Water-Energy-Food-Environment (WEFE) Nexus simulation game at the Eurasian National University in partnership with the EU-funded “Nexus Dialogue in Central Asia” project.

Twenty-five students and academics played the simulation game to better understand the complexities of water use and planning among different sectors of the economy. The WEFE Nexus game, which will soon be introduced in Kazakh universities, will help ensure that future water specialists will be equipped with a comprehensive view of resource management for improved water security.
