Climate Skills for Kazakhstan is a project by the Global Shapers Community (a World Economic Forum initiative) in Astana, in partnership with the NGO Climate Action Initiative Central Asia (CAICA).
Today, climate issues in Kazakhstan are actively discussed in society, but often only at a superficial level. One reason for this is the lack of local expertise, particularly in climate law and climate finance. Young people are the least engaged in discussions about the country’s future climate plans, and we aim to enhance the expertise of young professionals to prepare them for dialogue and action in these areas.
