National Seminar on the Decision Support Process (RDS) for the Amu Darya River Basin
In Ashgabat, the USAID Regional Water and Environment Project conducted a seminar for representatives of Turkmenistan’s ministries on methods and software for long-term water and energy resource planning to improve national water resources management.

Participants exchanged information on national plans and strategies as a first step toward developing a regional water model for the entire Amu Darya River Basin. Similar seminars have been organized in the Kyrgyz Republic and Uzbekistan, with another planned in Tajikistan.
