The USAID Regional Water and Environment Project plans to develop master’s level training modules on the topics of “Water Diplomacy” and “Efficient Water Use”, which will later be proposed to relevant government authorities for inclusion in the curricula of universities in Central Asia for a Master of Science degree.
The community-of-practice platform created under the Project (https://www.riverbp.net/community_of_practice/profile/about/), aimed at fostering regional collaboration among academic and research communities in Central Asian countries, will also support discussions on course content and its further dissemination and integration into university education programs.
During the meeting, the planned course content and the necessary steps for their subsequent integration into universities in Central Asian countries will be presented to the Network for review and discussion. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to discuss the technical capabilities and features of the community-of-practice platform for disseminating the developed materials.
The meeting will be organized by the USAID Regional Water and Environment Project in collaboration with the Regional Environmental Center for Central Asia (CAREC) and in partnership with the SDC Blue Peace Project in Central Asia.
