Ensuring that the energy transition is just and leaves no one behind is crucial for the most vulnerable countries and those with limited capacity, such as Least Developed Countries. It is important that during this transition that citizens can engage with this transition in a dignified and equitable manner.
Drawing on the decision in December 2023 to launch the UAE Just Transition Work Programme, this webinar will discuss opportunities to contextualise just transition pathways and priorities for Least Developed Countries in a way that better represents their interests internationally and nationally.
It aims to bring together a diverse range of perspectives from national policy-makers and negotiators, technical experts and other relevant stakeholders to build foundational knowledge on the topic.
