The USAID Regional Water and Environment Project held the 4th meeting of the National Intersectoral Committee – a platform of national experts and representatives from seven ministries related to water resources – to discuss how the Water-Energy-Food-Environment (WEFE) Nexus approach can contribute to improved water resources management and climate resilience in the country, as well as to review the Project’s results and future plans.
At the meeting, the Committee endorsed the Project’s work plan through October 2023 and discussed proposals to provide support for basin planning to the State Committee for Water Management, as well as assistance in developing a new course on Water Diplomacy for the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International University of Humanities and Development.
